  1. Toney Jennings
    President and Chief Executive Officer

    Toney has been leading teams in the information protection and information technology fields for over 18 years. Toney comes to CoreTrace from Mirage Networks, where he was president and CEO. Under Toney's leadership, Mirage Networks became a recognized leader in network access control with hundreds of customers and thousands of units sold. Prior to Mirage Networks, Toney was a founder, CEO, and Chairman of WheelGroup Corporation, the creators of the first commercially-available intrusion detection system, through its successful sale to Cisco Systems. Earlier in his career, Toney led teams at Trident Data Systems and as an officer at the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC), conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments of operational Department of Defense (DoD) networks.

  2. Daniel Teal
    Founder and Chief Technology Officer

    A true technology visionary, Dan has been innovating in the computer security field for over 20 years. As a founder and chief scientist of WheelGroup Corporation, he designed the first commercially-available intrusion detection system, NetRanger. WheelGroup was acquired by Cisco Systems in March 1998. Prior to WheelGroup, Dan worked as an information warfare officer at the Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC).

  3. Richard Teal
    Founder and Senior Vice President of Research

    For nearly two decades, Rich has been leading the development of highly reliable and available technology solutions for some of world's most unforgiving applications. In various management roles at Boeing Corporation, Rich researched, developed, and managed a diverse set of highly reliable flight control and avionic technologies for a number of rotorcraft, including the RAH-66 Comanche, the V-22 Osprey, the CH-47 Chinook, and the AH-64 Apache.

  4. James Reiss
    Senior Vice President of Sales

    Jim has over 20 years of management experience in technology sales and business operations. Jim joined CoreTrace from NetIQ Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise systems-management and security solutions. In his role at NetIQ, Jim managed North American regional field sales efforts, with a primary focus on Fortune 500 customers. He has in-depth experience in managing both direct and indirect software and services sales in the IT security and systems marketplace across a number of vertical markets. Prior to NetIQ, Jim was a co-founder and the CEO of Coollogic, an early developer and marketer of embedded operating systems for network devices and appliances. Jim previously held senior management positions at Digital Data Systems and the AON Corporation.

  5. James Weakley
    Senior Vice President of Product Development and Delivery

    Jim has over 25 years of software development, technical operations, customer support, and SaaS/Cloud delivery experience. Jim comes to CoreTrace after successful executive roles including Vice President of Customer Delivery at MessageOne (acquired by Dell), Vice President of Technical Operations at Mirage Networks, and Vice President of IT and Customer Operations at Motive, Inc./BroadJump. Earlier in his career, Jim held executive roles at leading companies such as Compaq and Thomas-Conrad after serving in the United States Navy.

  6. Ron Clarkson
    Vice President of Product Management

    For almost 15 years, Ron has been implementing, designing, and building security and enterprise software solutions. Ron comes to CoreTrace from Trend Micro, where he led a global team of product managers and marketers responsible for the Endpoint Security product line and managed key product integrations with Third Brigade (acquired by Trend Micro) and BigFix. Prior to Trend Micro, Ron led product teams at MessageOne (acquired by Dell) and NetIQ. Earlier in his career, Ron held various operating roles for Texaco, Shell Group, and the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a signals intelligence specialist.

  7. Robert Huffman
    Vice President of Business Development

    Bob has over 20 years in the computer and network security markets. Bob comes to CoreTrace after successful executive roles including the Vice President of Strategic Channels at Mirage Networks and Vice President of Global Channels at SecureLogix Corporation. Bob was a founder of WheelGroup Corporation, the creators of the first intrusion detection system, where he led business development for the Southwest region. WheelGroup was acquired by Cisco Systems in March 1998. Prior to WheelGroup, Bob worked at Trident Data Systems and in the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).

  8. JT Keating
    Vice President of Marketing

    JT has 20 years experience in building technology companies. JT has held executive marketing and management roles in leading and innovative technology companies such as Site Controls, WholeSecurity, Kurion, SMART Technologies, and SBC Communications. Previously, JT led marketing strategy projects for major technology companies such as Sega, Apple, Kodak and HP while a principal at Regis McKenna, Inc.

    Managing Director, Covera Ventures

    Steve Coffey is a managing director of Covera Ventures and has more than 20 years of investment experience with companies at all stages of development. Steve was previously president and managing director of Hunt Ventures and established the Austin office in 1999. Steve currently serves on the boards of directors for Alert Logic, Innography, iTKO, Ontela, Storspeed, and Zumobi and is actively involved with Hubspan and SiGe Semiconductor. Steve was a director or actively involved in such companies as Airspan (NASDAQ: AIRN), Softricity (acquired by Microsoft), SNAPin (acquired by Nuance), and Metreos (acquired by Cisco).

  3. Craig Robinson
    Chief Operating Officer, GlobalSCAPE

    Craig has more than 20 years of experience in operations, information technology, information assurance, and R&D. His executive experience ranges from start-ups to multi-billion dollar corporations in the commercial and government sectors. Craig has held executive positions for leading companies such as Symantec where he sequentially served in several leadership roles, including VP worldwide-managed security services, VP solution delivery, and VP worldwide product marketing. In addition, he has held senior leadership positions at AXENT Technologies, META Security Group, and Trident Data Systems. Craig also is co-author of the reference Secure Internet Practices (Auerbach Publications) and serves on the board of NewTalk, Inc., a high-technology start up developing automated language translation solutions.

  4. Ray Rothrock
    Managing General Partner, Venrock

    Ray joined Venrock in 1988 and after nearly 20 years and over 40 investments, his passion for building companies continues. Ray's investments include Check Point Software (NASDAQ: CHKP), Double Click, USInternetworking, PGP Corporation, Vontu, and WholeSecurity. In addition to venture capital, Ray serves on the board of trustees of the Texas A&M Foundation, and he also serves on the visiting committee of the MIT Nuclear Science and Engineering Department.
